Mistake 1: Start cleaning without cooling.
After stainless steel pot is used, if it is directly taken to the sink and washed with cold water before it is cooled, the pot may be deformed or cracked. Be sure to wait until the pot is completely cooled before cleaning it.
Mistake 2: Washing with Dishwasher
Although most stainless steel pot can be washed in a dishwasher, it is not recommended to wash it in a dishwasher. Because the washing process of the dishwasher is long, the temperature is high, and a lot of detergents are used, it may cause the surface of stainless steel pot to rust. Therefore, it is recommended to wash the melon cloth by hand, and don’t brush it with hard materials such as steel balls, otherwise it may scratch the pot surface.
Mistake 3: Add salt to cold water.
When using stainless steel pot, don’t add salt when the water in the pot is still cold, because doing so may cause some small potholes on the surface of the pot that are difficult to recover, so be sure to wait until the water is boiled before adding salt.
Mistake 4: The scale in the pot has not been removed.
If you boil water in stainless steel pot, you will find white scale on the surface of stainless steel pot after several times. White scale should be cleaned up in time, otherwise it will not only affect heat conduction for a long time, but also make it difficult to clean it thoroughly. We can add 3/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of white vinegar to the pot, then heat it until it boils, then turn off the fire, let the pot cool, and finally clean it with detergent.
Mistake 5: Did not dry the pan.
In fact, every time after cleaning stainless steel pot, it is recommended to dry the pot with a clean cloth or kitchen paper towel, so as to prolong the time of scale appearance, and it only takes 1 ~ 2 minutes to dry the pot, but the effect is very remarkable. Mistake 6: The pot has burnt marks.
If there are burnt marks in stainless steel pot, it is recommended to remove the burnt marks before use, because the burnt places are easy to rust. It is very simple to remove the scorch marks. Just pour a proper amount of water into the pot (the water must be higher than the burnt place), then pour a proper amount of baking soda powder into the water to make the water slightly white, then fire and boil the water, and continue to cook for 5-10 minutes. If the water is about to overflow during cooking, you can turn down the fire, turn off the fire and let the pot cool after cooking, and then scrub the burnt place with a melon cloth.
